Our Mission
Doggie Don’t Inc. wants to help dogs.
We would like to contribute to reducing the number of dogs that are owner surrendered or are deemed unadoptable due to behavioral problems such as nuisance barking, jumping up, chewing, and leash aggression.
According to the ASPCA approximately 3.9 million dogs enter animal shelters every year. Of those 3.9 million dogs approximately 35% are adopted, 31% are euthanized and 26% that came in as strays are returned to their owners. 96% of dogs in shelters have not had any kind of obedience training.
Approximately 10% of dogs that are surrendered to shelters are due to behavioral issues . This does not include dogs that are abandoned or dumped and who are not adopted due to behavioral issues. Doggie Don’t Inc. would like to help reduce those numbers.
We would also like to help people who are frustrated with their dog so that those dogs are not kept crated and physically or verbally abused. We would like to help shelters and the shelter handlers work with the dogs that have behavioral issues to make them more adoptable and less likely to end up back in the shelter. We highly recommend working with professional dog trainers but also understand that not all dog owners have the time and resources to work with a professional trainer. We are hoping that the Doggie Don’t Device can help. If you are dealing with aggression please consult with a professional trainer. There are many resources available.
